Lead Tax Manager

Lead Tax Manager | £500 - £600 per day Umbrella Co. | London | Hybrid | 6-Months +

For a government organisation based in London, and with local offices throughout the UK (where the role can also be based), we are recruiting a Lead Tax Manager for at least 6-months. The Lead Tax Manager will provide expert-level expertise across the Group, and will be the lead specialist for IR35, taxable benefits, and corporation tax, as well as supporting VAT compliance.

Main Duties:

• Lead IR35 compliance across the Group, setting and maintaining robust processes and guidance
• Oversee all data capture and review for PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) returns
• Ensure full compliance with taxable benefits
• Manage the Corporation Tax function including all returns
• Review and maintaining tax policies, notes and training materials
• Act as Senior Tax Advisor for complex tax queries
• Partner with HMRC, and the Tax Centre of Excellence as needed
• Build and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders and senor leaders

Person Specification:

• CTA, CCAB or ATT qualified
• Strong IR35 experience is essential
• Excellent experience across taxable benefits, corporate tax
• Experience supporting and leading dispersed teams
• Experience working in a central government and complex public sector setting
