About Alex

Alex joined Pro-Tax in Jan 2022 to recruit tax professionals into accountancy firms. 

He has over 13 years of recruitment expertise and spent four years leading BDO's Tax Recruitment nationally before joining Pro-Tax. He works with candidates ranging from NQ to Partner. Having worked both in-house and in agency, Alex has a unique understanding of relationship-building with both clients and candidates and is a subject matter expert in all matters relating to Tax. He is able to best match clients' and candidates' needs, offering a solutions-based approach to recruitment.

Outside of work, Alex is a keen tennis and badminton player, having competed both for university and in clubs. He has also become an avid "lockdown" cyclist, having cycled almost 25,000 km to date and completed the London to Brighton and back (over 200 km) for charity. He is now an official MAMIL (you might have to Google this, which also allows him to 'work' on his other passion - eating!). However, his greatest achievement is being a daddy to little Nathan, who joined the Pro team at the end of 2022. Fortunately, with Pro's fantastic flexible work policy, Alex is able to balance a full-time career while being the primary carer for his son.
